New Year's greeting 💌

In just a moment, the year 2025 is over. And I bet you know that feeling of the year having just begun? We certainly do.

Time flies when you're having fun, they say.

That's exactly what happened to us. The year has flown by - simply because we've done something we love.

For the first time ever, we have both prioritized the music. Created space for it in our everyday life. Let it come first. This has meant that we've really been able to move things forward - and it's a fantastic experience when you're a creative being constantly getting new ideas that require time to execute.

For us, the year brought two releases of our debut singles "Om Hjørner" and "Flygter Fordi". These two singles helped give us perspective on how extensive it is to release music independently, but also how liberating it is to reach the finish line - and especially to experience people listening to it and even singing along to the lyrics at concerts.

It's truly a great experience as a creative independent!

Two important lessons

2025 has also been the year we've really managed to step beyond the edge of the stage.

When we started booking concerts, we set what we thought at the time was a very optimistic goal of 5 concerts during the year. It turned out to be 11. At venues like Rust, Harders, Huset, and Urban13.

It's wild to sit here now, a year after we set our goal, and recall the feeling of how nervous we were about whether we'd even be able to succeed in booking concerts. Whether anyone would even see potential in Drømmer Om…

For us, this has led to two important realizations:

1) It's about believing that we can achieve the goal. That's the golden key to actually reaching it.

2) Not everything can be planned. Many of our concerts came about because we met other fantastic musicians at our own concerts. Something we could never have planned when we sat in a café in January trying to book gigs. And as Sandra from "Spot på en musiker", who if anyone knows about life as a freelancer/independent, told us when we visited Frederiksberg local radio a couple of weeks ago to be interviewed about Drømmer Om as a project: "If you plan the whole year in advance, you can never say yes to new opportunities".

A year in the name of concerts

And then to the concerts: Wow, just wow what an experience it's been!

Before we went into 2025, any person could have asked us if we like playing concerts, and the answer would have been the same: "We're mostly just those introverted studio musicians".

We don't feel that way anymore. Far from it! We've really had our eyes opened to the magic of standing on a stage, sharing our music and messages, and creating a unique space together with the audience.

Every time we meet, one of us has been thinking over an idea for how we can develop our live set. "What if we introduce a DJ-like element?" or "What if we stand like this facing each other, maybe that will create a cool dynamic?".

That's why we're already looking forward to throwing ourselves into live music again. But for now, focus is fully directed at finishing our EP, which we are ABSOLUTELY ENORMOUSLY EXCITED to share with you in the new year.

Beyond new music, more concerts, and who knows what else (!), 2026 will also bring changes on the Sleeve front. The platform is constantly evolving, and its founders are working on finding the most ideal form for both us as musicians and you as readers.

We promise to keep you updated!

The very best Christmas and New Year's greetings
