December er: Mails, radio and techno-loops

Hi sweet friends,

We hope you're enjoying the month of December and have time for plenty of mulled wine, pancakes and coziness 🎄 Work on our EP is progressing steadily, and we're genuinely happy about (and relieved by) the fact that our ambitious timeline still seems realistic ;-)

Since last time we've been working on many different things, and it's beginning to feel almost like routine, but that's actually really good when all is said and done.

Our time is split between days in the studio and days at coffee shops or at one of our homes. We do our best to cover all the bases - both getting our music recorded, but also sending out mails and contacting people we think would be fun to talk to.

Actually, mails are flying around in the internet ether with this autosignature... ✉ 📱

Dreaming of local radio?!

Something quite exciting that happened recently was that we were contacted by Sandra from a local radio station in Frederiksberg 📡 Sandra came to our last concert in 2025 at Urban13, where we played together with Nirmata. She wanted to invite us to her radio program "Spotlight on a Musician" to talk about our music. Of course we said yes, and we're working on getting a date set. We'll make sure to point it out when it's relevant, so keep an eye on your Instagram and emails! 🌌🎙🙌🏻

The fight for a festival gig

It's still our ambition to try to get booked for festivals during the summer of 2026, and we've been busy sending mails and pitches. It can feel a bit heavy since we have neither a manager nor a booker, but we're doing our best! We've gotten responses from some really exciting festivals, though nothing concrete yet. We're hoping those leads turn into something and keeping our fingers crossed 🤞 We've now reached the 3rd round of mails/follow-ups we're sending, but we're not giving up, and if they get tired of us, they can just write back 😅 It's mainly Caro who has the pleasure of being annoyed by emails, while I get the pleasure of being frustrated with piles of recordings that need to be sorted and edited.

A magical moment with guitar pedals and loops

In the studio we're almost done starting production/recording of all the tracks we want on the EP. We're missing one that hasn't been started at all, but according to plan it's a simpler track that we deliberately chose to save for last. All the "heavy" tracks that require more work have been started and are well underway. The latest thing we've recorded is guitars for different tracks and changes to the vocals (places where Caro wasn't satisfied yet).

There was a fantastic moment in the studio recently where I had brought a new guitar pedal that can loop small pieces of sound and turn them into something completely new. After setting it up and showing Caro how it worked, she got to just let loose, and it actually turned out to be incredibly cool. Listen for yourself sometime!

It gave us so much inspiration to try to create a coherent flow between the songs on the EP from track to track. We both have several favorite albums where this is done. Try for example listening to Coldplay's "Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends" from beginning to end. We're already looking forward to exploring in that direction with our own music 🎧
